wow!
I haven't posted in a long time, really need to find more time to post things.
well this would be my part on looking at different cultures, some of the things hapening in different countries if I
ever get the chance to leave Britain.
As a young girl I have always had a very keen interest in different countries and cultures and a passion that one day I can leave this Burning abyss called the uk.Well yesterday I was looking for some new gospel music, I could add to my playlist and out of curiosity I thought
And then after a long thought process, i decided to google it and to my surprise,
they actually do gospel!!!
I felt surprised and yet a joy that they do it because for anyone who has ever been on youtube ( youtube is really becoming my best freind, it is becoming my second google) who has been interested in japanese culture and is black, you see alot of vids saying that they are racist, they are not racist, there isn't alot of christianity and how as a christaian they don't really fully understand the whole thing about really being a christian and the joy you get from loving God.
so as I am, like any *cough*geek*cough*, I decided to do some reaserch on this new discovery, and link after link after link I found that alot of the gospel they do is in english and alot of the songs are what pentcostal churches use in services however, there is an uprising in gospel in their own language.
looking at the vids and seeing how it touched them and how they were singing from their hearts, really touched me because everyone knows Japan to be that country where they are very reserved and won't really get up and start dancing and clapping at the sound Jesus. My first interpretation of christianity in Japan was that alot of the young people there would only have become christian because they idolise western culture, but after seeing some of the vids there are some devouts out there.
A japanese gospel singer whose music I did enjoy to hear was Kaori yamamoto. she has a few songs in english and others in japanese.

and finally some youtube vids, i found out that it was a project called M.A.J, where churches from America came to Japan.
Bye bye, now to find random topics for my next post.
